Check out my bubble watch – it's better than this mess of a bracketology thing I'm trying to put together! This bracketology has barely any affect on where I place teams in the bubble watch – I prefer to look at the general consensus for the watch and build out off that, while going off the consensus for bracketology would basically involve copying brackets from elsewhere, which... no, I'm not doing that.

Also, check out bracketmatrix.com, where you will probably find many more accurate brackets/seed lines than this one. I used to be on there, but I won't be this year until the final bracket because they imposed a limit of at least one bracket in the top half over the past 5 years... yeah that's on me for not being good at bracketology. Maybe I can get top half this year? Who knows.

Skarmory's Bracketology – 02/08/23

I made this the other day, figured I might as well actually publish it. Used a much different method for bracketing, one that hopefully gets me closer to the actual bracket.

Autobids indicated by Bold text. First four teams are in italics, first four matchups in (parenthesis) if possible. The timing on this was iffy – I'm pretty sure none of the games from 2/8 counted, so this would be before them.

2 seeds: Arizona, Texas, Baylor, UCLA

3 seeds: Kansas State, Xavier, Tennessee, Iowa State

4 seeds: Virginia, Connecticut, Miami (FL), Gonzaga

5 seeds: Marquette, TCU, Indiana, St. Mary's

6 seeds: Duke, Iowa, San Diego State, Rutgers

7 seeds: Missouri, Auburn, Illinois, Providence

8 seeds: West Virginia, Michigan State, Creighton, FAU

9 seeds: Maryland, NC State, Pittsburgh, Arkansas

10 seeds: Nevada, Oklahoma State, New Mexico, USC

11 seeds: Northwestern, Wisconsin, (North Carolina, Kentucky), (Boise State, Memphis)

12 seeds: Charleston, Oral Roberts, Utah Valley, Drake

13 seeds: VCU, Southern Miss, Liberty, Kent State

14 seeds: UC Santa Barbara, Yale, Furman, Iona

15 seeds: Eastern Washington, Northwestern State, Colgate, Vermont

16 seeds: UNC Asheville, Alcorn State, (MD-Eastern Shore, Youngstown State), (SIU-Edwardsville, Fairleigh Dickinson)

Last four byes: New Mexico, USC, Northwestern, Wisconsin

Last four in: (North Carolina, Kentucky), (Boise State, Memphis)

First four out: Clemson, Penn State, Oregon, Mississippi State
